Why does The Pondsip look like a fish pond?
Because we wanted to make a cat fountain that felt more like part of the home. The Pondsip takes inspiration from a quiet garden pond, with playful fish details and flowing water designed to make everyday hydration feel a little less ordinary.
Does The Pondsip need to stay plugged in?
No. The Pondsip is rechargeable and designed for cordless placement, giving you more flexibility to position it where your cat likes to drink.
How long does the battery last?
The Pondsip can provide up to 100 days of battery life under the stated usage conditions: a full charge, smart sensing mode, 20 drinking sessions per day, and 1 minute per session. Actual battery life will vary depending on usage.
What is the drinking tray made from?
The drinking tray is made from food-grade 304 stainless steel and is detachable for easier cleaning.
How does the five-layer filtration work?
The system combines a mesh layer, cotton layer, activated carbon, ion-exchange resin, and fine filter sponge to help capture hair, dust, debris, odors, minerals, and fine particles.
Does the filter remove odors?
The activated carbon layer is designed to help absorb odors and impurities from the water.
How often should I clean the fountain?
Keeping your fountain clean and fresh is effortless. For daily upkeep, simply give the 304 stainless steel tray a quick rinse and refill with fresh water. Every 1 to 2 weeks, we recommend disassembling the water basin and magnetic pump for a deeper clean to remove any trapped hair or scale buildup—thanks to the cordless, detachable design, the water basin can be safely washed completely separate from the electronic base. Finally, replace the 5-layer composite filter cartridge every 3 to 4 weeks (or every 2 weeks if you have multiple cats) to ensure your pet always enjoys optimal filtration and crisp, clean water.
Will my cat use it straight away?
Every cat is different. Some will investigate a new fountain immediately, while others may need time to get used to it. If your cat is hesitant, try placing The Pondsip near their existing water bowl during the transition.
Where can I place The Pondsip?
Its cordless design gives you more flexibility than a permanently plugged-in fountain. Place it on a stable, level surface in a location your cat is comfortable drinking from, while keeping the charging connection dry.
